11. “A zombie’s hand naturally has no warmth.”

【Hahaha, Zai Zai’s expression is too cute, I’m laughing so loudly.】

【Zai Zai: I’ve been so good to you, and you’re tricking me out of my crystal nuclei?】

【Waaah, I also want Zai Zai to feed me crystal nuclei.】

The screen was filled with cheerful comments and laughter, but Ye You approached Su Zi’an’s bedside with a serious expression.

He looked Su Zi’an up and down, cocked his head in confusion, and asked, “You’re still alive?”

Not a zombie, but a living person.

Su Zi’an looked around the room in surprise. “Why am I still alive?”

He was in the dormitory, not a hospital.

He remembered the deep wound on his waist, which had bled heavily enough to soak through his clothes. How had he survived in such a condition?

There was no longer any pain in his waist.

Su Zi’an reached down to touch his waist.

What he felt was not a torn wound or bandages, but smooth skin.

Once the dizziness subsided, Su Zi’an lifted his bloodstained clothes and looked down.

A layer of blood crust had formed on his skin.

The blood crust seemed to be merely stuck to the surface of the skin rather than seeping out and coagulating from within the body. Su Zi’an gently touched it, and it all fell away.

Beneath the blood crust, his skin was smooth and intact, with no signs of tearing.

“What’s going on?” Su Zi’an was astonished.

【What is Su Zi’an doing? Why is there such a big mosaic? My Zai Zai is still a child, don’t corrupt him!】

【Zai Zai! Why are you getting closer?!】

Ye You sensed the presence of an ability on Su Zi’an’s skin.

It wasn’t the transfer ability of Xiao Ren, but a completely new ability.

He extended his mental power and “saw” a light blue crystal nucleus in Su Zi’an’s mind.

Ye You reached out.

He placed his fingertip on Su Zi’an’s forehead, his crimson eyes fixed intently on the crystal nucleus in Su Zi’an’s mind.

When his gaze fell on Ye You’s left hand, which was grayish-white with brown spots, Su Zi’an immediately stood up.

He went to Ye You’s side, squatting down and slowly pulling up the sleeve of Ye You’s left arm.

The deep, bone-exposing claw marks appeared before Su Zi’an’s eyes. He gritted his teeth and silently used his ability to heal Ye You’s arm.

Ye You was worried that Su Zi’an might accidentally turn him into a fertilized egg with his ability and tried to shake Su Zi’an’s hand off.

The injury didn’t matter, it didn’t hurt or affect his actions.

But if he turned into a fertilized egg, he wouldn’t be able to live.

Before Ye You could shake Su Zi’an off, he noticed that Su Zi’an’s ability was rather weak. It took a long time just to heal a scratch the length of a fingernail.

Since Su Zi’an didn’t seem able to continue using his abilities, it was better to ignore those minor wounds.

Believing Ye You’s words, Su Zi’an got up and said, “Ge, you rest first. I’m going to take a shower.”

The sticky feeling on his body made Su Zi’an uncomfortable; he really couldn’t stay in front of his brother in that state.

Ye You nodded.

After Su Zi’an took his clothes into the bathroom, Ye You glanced at the blood-stained sheets on the opposite bed and sent the school zombies to the supermarket to fetch new bedding.

The zombies brought the items to the door, and Ye You went out to collect them.

The sound of water stopped in the bathroom.

Su Zi’an faintly heard someone coming up the stairs and nervously called out, “Ge?”

Ye You took the bedding from the zombies and responded, “I got new bedding. Do you need anything else?”

Su Zi’an’s voice from the bathroom sounded relieved, “I don’t need anything. It’s dangerous outside; don’t go out again.”

Ye You agreed and looked at the zombie’s hands outside.

The zombie’s hands were dark and seemed to be covered in something. Fortunately, the bedding was wrapped in a transparent bag, so the inside should be clean.

Closing the door, Ye You gathered the items from Su Zi’an’s bed, moved them to the empty bed, and replaced them with the new ones.

He tossed the dirty bedding into the corner and returned to the opposite bed.

【2333 ¹, little brother still doesn’t know that the most dangerous thing in the school is his brother.】

【Little brother even healed Zai Zai’s hand. Now, if Zai Zai stands in front of people, who would believe he’s a zombie?】

The bathroom door opened, and Su Zi’an walked out, drying his hair. He was pleasantly surprised to see the new bedding.

Looking at the bed Ye You was sitting on, it still had the old bedding.

That bed was still Xiao Ren’s.

Su Zi’an frowned slightly and said, “Ge, let’s squeeze together.”

“Don’t sleep in that guy’s bed.”

Ye You didn’t move, and Su Zi’an easily pulled him over.

“Ge, do you want to sleep on the inside or the outside?” Su Zi’an pulled out his pillow from his suitcase.

Ye You watched Su Zi’an busying himself and said, “No need.”

Zombies don’t need sleep.

“You sleep. Once you’re in better shape, we’ll leave this place,” Ye You said.

“Are you planning to keep watch?” Su Zi’an asked.

Su Zi’an set down his pillow, walked over to lock the dormitory door, and said, “With the door locked, even if zombies come, we’ll wake up when they start smashing the door. No need to keep watch.”

Ye You, the Zombie, watched Su Zi’an silently.

Su Zi’an seemed very pleased as he pushed Ye You onto the bed. He then rummaged through the dormitory, finding many tools that could be used as weapons and placed them by the bed, smiling and saying, “This will keep us safe.”

Ye You: “…”

Is this person really just insensitive, or does he trust me too much?

A dormitory bed is a bit cramped for two nearly adult boys.

Su Zi’an didn’t mind. He yawned and, while turning over in the bed, touched Ye You’s hand, which was ice-cold, and was momentarily startled.

“Ge’s hand is so cold.”

Su Zi’an didn’t think much of it. He pulled Ye You’s hand up, held it, and rubbed it, exhaling gently to warm it up.

Ye You lowered his eyes, his crimson, pupil-less eyes watching as Su Zi’an rubbed his hand, and said faintly：“A zombie’s hand naturally has no warmth.”
